Fremington 4 v Bideford AFC 1 (under twelve)

Fremington U12 4 Bideford AFC U12 1, 18th November 2012

Fremington played their first ever game against Bideford AFC and bounced back from the pain of their recent cup exit on penalties to Barnstaple Youth with a robust win over the visitors. Both sides played some very good football but a powerful run on the left from Cameron Smelt ended with a fantastic long range shot that found its way to the top corner of the oppositions net. Jon Tossell then made it 2-0 from the penalty spot. Bideford pulled one back but in the second half Fremington made the game safe with a goal from Bailey Harris and an own goal after the Bideford goalkeeper had made a fabulous save. Some resolute defending at the back, particularly from Ben Wells and Harvey Rostock ensured that the efforts from the Bideford attack were fruitless, and James Dearson had another fine game in goal, well done Fremington.
